We’re currently traversing North America on our honeymoon with our Airstream travel trailer and cat in tow. These are our stories from the road.

Honeymoon Stop #39

We're headed to Greg's sister's place on Friday. Then, home.

Yeah, there IS a map for that.

If it weren’t for the remarkable machinery that is the iPhone, we would have ditched AT&T long ago. This would make Melissa’s aunt MaryEllen very happy, who is a high level exec at Verizon.
For the next several days, we will be exactly where the blue on this map ain’t. If you need to get a [...]

Mega Video Update: Ottawa to Columbus

If you have sixteen minutes and thirteen seconds of your life you’d like to spend watching my inane comments and watching my wife and her cat be adorable, then so enjoy.
Or, you can watch it on Vimeo directly. The choice is yours, compadre.

Nebraska

Well, we didn’t expect to be here, but here we are. We spent the night at a miserable KOA campground in Gothenburg, Nebraska. We planned on spending the night in Goodland, KS, but you see, there’s this giant snowstorm that hit Colorado and Wyoming that wiped out that plan.
After spending mid-afternoon in Hays, Kansas (my [...]

We are A-O-K!

Thank you all for your concern and emails regarding Greg’s run-in with the (rounded) corner of one of the Airstream’s open windows. While he did really whack himself, causing a bump and a gash, Greg was wearing his Phillies cap which probably saved him from stitches! Thanks, Phillies!
Our trip to the expresscare clinic confirmed [...]

False Start

An update on this one from Greg: My head is fine. Just a gash. No stitches necessary. I have quite a goose egg though.

Seconds before we pulled away from the campground this morning, I whacked my head on the edge of the open Airstream window. Profanity first, then blood. The dealer said I’d do it [...]

Photos: Northeast (Part one)

Sorry for the radio silence as of late. You see, I didn’t sign up for the appropriate international roaming plan with AT&T, and they charged me $2000 plus (I am not kidding) for the privilege of using their network for 10 minutes or so while we were in Canada. Oh, and they also deactivated my [...]

Michiganing

We’re on our way to Ann Arbor for the Michigan vs. Penn State game. I am preparing a huge update for this blog, and hope to have it posted tonight. In the meantime, follow along on Twitter (or in the sidebar to the left with our fancy new Twitter feed widget).

Nine lessons I have learned about my husband (so far) during our Canadian stay.

1.  Poutine may very well be Greg’s favorite food.  Especially when foie gras is involved.  Silly me, before Canada, I thought his fave was bacon or steak.
2.  He loves Rush way more than I thought he did.  In fact, he planned a 4+ hour play list for our lengthy drive to Toronto today.  (Lucky me!)  [...]

Video Update: NY, VT, and Canadia

Just enough campground WIFI to squeeze up our latest video update, containing footage from Ithaca, the Adirondacks, Burlington, VT and Montréal.
Or, watch it bigger-like on Vimeo.
Melissa has detail on the next post, which is an interesting one I hear.

Sur la route vers Montréal

Hello from Montréal, Québec.
We’re just a simple everyday American couple with an Airstream on their honeymoon trying to get into Canada, eh.
Canadian Customs didn’t make it so easy for us. As we pulled up to the international border along I-89 and approached Saint-Armand/Phillipsburg, the male agent (who was very accommodating, by the way) asked if [...]
